Haven't tried this, but looks worth a shot. I am currently using MAILsweeper (
MIMEsweeper) v5.2c (looks suspiciously similar to the
Group Tools system) on a Domino 6 server with 2 mailboxes.
This software is designed to do content filtering (which it does very well), but also has the capability to integrate with an impressive number of virus scanners.
I currently have only one virus scanner turned on in MAILsweeper, the Trend Micro scan engine which is currently having a whale of a time stopping all the
Bugbear.A viruses that seem to have knocked Klez out of pole position. We have used the Trend scanner for a couple of years or more and it has never let us down, so I don't really need another scanner but...
MAILsweeper allows me to enable and use more than one virus scan engine.
So the whole process of hooking a mail while in mail.box (or mail1.box, mail2.box etc), then passing it through
as many virus scans as I like, plus all the content filters I have dreamed up can be handled via a single master software package and a single user interface.
I may give it a try.
